Carrie-Lee first joined the Lending Place as a student through the Canada Summer Jobs program. She had never worked in mobility lending before, but she arrived ready to learn, to help, and to make a difference.

We quickly discovered something special: her ability to organize, restore, and prepare equipment is extraordinary. Carrie-Lee has lived in Camrose for more than 10 years, and she brings that sense of community to her work. Every wheelchair, walker, cane, and set of crutches is cleaned, sanitized, and prepared with careful attention. It’s not just a task—it’s a gift of dignity.

When a family is in transition, recovering from surgery, adjusting after an accident, or caring for a loved one, it is often Carrie-Lee’s hands that prepare the equipment that helps them take the next step. She makes sure every item is ready for the next neighbour who needs it, and her dedication helps keep equipment moving throughout our community.
